What is a Land Condo and What are the advantages?

A land condominium expands upon the condominium concept by bundling the home with the land on which it is built. Homeowners receive the added services provided by the condominium association such as yard maintenance, irrigation, and use and maintenance of all amenities. Land condominiums also offer a classification of space that is generally not found with a traditional apartment-style condominium unit called a limited common element. This is space outside of the home that is specifically designated for the enjoyment and use of its individual homeowner. Land condos are ideal for low maintenance homes that do not wish to purchase into a traditional condominium, but would still like to reap some of the benefits a condominium association has to offer.
